The Raven (A re-imagining of Edgar Allan Poe's classic poem) | Horror Short Film
Set in the early 20th century, this short film reimagines Edgar Allan Poe's timeless story as a Prohibition-era tale of regret and revenge. Bank robbers Alan and Lenora Frechatte find themselves in a bloody gunfight after a robbery goes wrong. When Lenora is shot, Alan flees the scene in cowardice, leaving her to die. Years later, while hiding out on a farm, Alan is haunted by more than just the memory of his betrayal. Something is rusting in his cornfield—and it has come for revenge.
Inspired by the 1970s Poe films, this loose adaptation was created for the Just Scare Me film club.
